AWS details Reactiv's AgentCore setup
- Reactiv builds native iOS and Android apps for Shopify merchants and says in-app shoppers convert at 2–4 times the rate of web visitors, per the AWS Machine Learning Blog. Stale homepages and missed promotion windows cost those merchants revenue, and weekly manual updates are hard to sustain, AWS says [source: AWS Machine Learning Blog]. The publisher describes Reactiv's solution as an AI Scheduler: a merchant types a plain-language instruction, such as refreshing a homepage with best sellers every Monday at 9 AM, and the system handles it [source: AWS Machine Learning Blog]. Reactiv says it built the tool as a three-agent system — a supervisor to classify intent, an analytics agent to query merchant data, and a builder agent to generate configurations — on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore using the Strands Agents SDK, reaching production in weeks [source: AWS Machine Learning Blog]. Per the same post, Reactiv reports an 80 percent cut in merchant configuration time and 33 percent faster time to production [source: AWS Machine Learning Blog]. AWS attributes the gains to three AgentCore capabilities: a managed runtime that runs agents in Firecracker microVMs and spins them up on schedule, memory for persistent cross-session context, and identity for service-to-service authentication [source: AWS Machine Learning Blog]. Reactiv also unified its interactive and scheduled agents on one stack with shared memory, and replaced roughly 100 OpenAPI spec files with native Model Context Protocol support, per AWS [source: AWS Machine Learning Blog]. All figures are the companies' own claims, not independent benchmarks. [1]
