According to The Decoder, OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra can look at a photo of an assembled IKEA furniture piece and tell whether it was put together incorrectly. The Decoder reports an 80 percent accuracy rate; it says the best model managed just 28 percent back in November 2025. Epoch AI, cited by The Decoder, says the speed is not yet fast enough for real-time assembly guidance but that the gap is closing quickly.
